The Drive

We left Indio early to get over the the San Gorgonio Mountain Pass, that has 4,000 wind turbines, before the predicted 50 mph winds today. Since we are a high profile RV, we drove 45 mph over the pass on the freeway (the windier it is the slower you must drive). Normally we don't drive if the wind is greater than 30 mph, but the forecast was for high winds until next Sunday so we left right after rush hour, hugging the right lane, and taking it slow.

We always check the wind forecast before the drive
