Lyle and Jan - Our US Travels

We drove into Fargo to visit family friends of Lyle's. As tempting as it was, we didn't stop to see the aliens. Old Fargo Theater with neon and pretty flowers. We stayed in Casselton, N Dakota, on our way to Minneapolis and had a nice meet up with Lyle's in-laws. Unfortunately we forgot to take a photo.  Casselton is a small farming town outside of Fargo, established in 1876 by the Northern Pacific Railroad as a "homesteader town". The park, located near Bismarck ND, is home to the On-A-Slant Indian Village and reconstructed military buildings including the Custer House. The fort, located on the confluence of the Missouri and Heart rivers, was built to protect the expansion of the transcontinental railway.
