Quartzsite is a popular recreational vehicle camping area for winter visitors with tourism being the major contributor to Quartzsite's economy. RVs come from all over North America for its expanse of BLM free camping. Many visitors spend the entire winter here. Hundreds, maybe thousands, of RVs dot the countryside surrounding the town.
